Being Santa

We're going out and about to deliver gifts today - all over the estate, village and then on to various relatives of LT who live about 45 minutes away. We do this every year and I love it. By the end of the day, we're usually chatted out and slopping with hot drinks :-) Unfortunately, LT is off to some kind of network meeting and can't come, but all three children have said they'll accompany me this year, isn't that good? LT's mother, aunt and uncle will love seeing them. The slightly sad note about today is that every year, there seem to be fewer relatives to visit. Mind you, on the esate the numbers of people in the cottages is growing - we've had three babies this year - Merry Christmas to them!

Look At This For A Shiner!

Friend was gesticulating and hit John in the eye. Over the last few days it has gone from black to blue to green. He's hoping for yellow next!

Pain And Christmas

Pain, pain and more pain. The previous meds seem to control some of the pain, but this is not so good. I have lost most of today to another bout of migraine.
:-(
Struggled through the children's carol service - it was wonderful, especially the choir pieces and The Twelve Days of Christmas where every child stood up to yell out their part - but only just managed and had to go straight to bed when we got back here. Up now, but not sure for how long. Am I going to lose Christmas to this?

One More Day

One more day in school,
One more day in sorrow.
One more day in that old dump,
And I'll be home tomorrow! [Well, the day after, anyway :-)]

Yahoo, Christmas approaches! I love Christmas - the Mass, the food, the gift-giving.
Life is good :-D

It's Over

I should feel used and hurt, but don't. There is just blankness. Life is going to be better - cleaner - without "them".

Bad Migraine Week

Missed a day and a half of school. The half day, I was sitting at a computer screen and the headache hit like lightning. Head found me crunched up on the floor, rocking and crying. I lay down on chairs in the finance office and slept for two hours, then dragged myself home. Not sure I was safe to be on the road, but made it somehow.

Something has happened with the two friends I have been chatting with online. They have disappeared. No reply to messages, no sign of them on MSN for a few days. Hope things are all right.

LT Is NOT Redundant!

He has a few months extra.
He doesn't know whether to feel happy or sad about this news. His interfering, micro-managing boss has gone, which might make things easier; but he is still stuck in the dead end, mind-killing job that pays so little; but he still has a job and therefore some income; but he is still likely to be made redundant sometime this year so it might have been better to get it over and done with this time.
Poor guy - and to top it all, he is married to me :-o
